Fischetto’s Career
A dynamic manager with significant experience driving profitability and growth transformation, Barry has led organizations in a number of different supply chain and manufacturing platforms. His professional expertise includes business development, process & cost rationalization, sales & marketing strategy, strategic planning, organizational design, IT integration, and more.
Barry earned his Master of Business Administration in Operations Management from Long Island University. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from St. Thomas Aquinas College. Upon completing his education, Barry began his career in CPG. He held a number of different positions with Nabisco Biscuit Company, ultimately working as an Operations Manager before transitioning into a Director of Operations role with ConAgra Foods, Inc.
During his tenure with ConAgra Foods, Barry Fischetto also served as the Business Development Director, where he spearheaded key business growth and productivity initiatives, as well as the Plant Manager for two separate locations, sharpening his supply chain management competencies. He ultimately managed multiple facilities simultaneously as an Operations Leader.
In 2007, Barry joined Millard as a Senior Vice President. After just three short years, he accepted an offer to serve as the Chief Operating Officer/President. In this role, Barry led growth, profitability, service, and organizational development initiatives and managed relationships with industry-leading clients. His customers included public and private CPG companies – like General Mills, Nestle, and OSI – as well as big box retailers, like Walmart and Sam’s Club, and large franchised corporations, such as Subway, Boston Market, and Hardee’s. As the COO and President, Barry maintained a continuous-improvement mindset and led a dramatic turnaround in operational performance. Afterwards, he similarly improved the contribution margin and integrated growth efforts for SK Food Group as their Chief Operating Officer. While with SK Food Group, his customers included Starbucks, Jamba Juice, American Airlines, Costco, Wendy’s Private Label, and Oven Pride Kitchen in-house Brand.
Since 2014, Barry Fischetto has been a member of the executive leadership team for Farmer Brothers Coffee. Under his guidance, the organization has experienced substantial improvements in terms of profitability in all aspects of their operations. Barry has overseen a number of transformative projects. These include the strategic design and execution of a new headquarters, manufacturing, and distribution campus, delivering on fiscal 2016’s profitability target, developing and initiating the company-wide Total Landed Cost Mindset, and reducing the customer complaint rate to 1.9 per million pounds produced. Barry sat on the board of the International Association of Refrigerated Warehousing until 2011. He has completed advanced training in the following: 6 Sigma Training, University of Michigan: Management of Managers Graduate, Covey Leadership Training, Dale Carnegie public speaking, JIT, OSHA, HACCP, Zenger-Miller Team Building/Facilitation Training, and Stat-o-matrix SPC Training. He also holds a Project Management Certification.
